About Node-red

Node-red is a visual tool for wiring together hardware devices, APIs and online services. It is built on node.js, a server side JavaScript platform that uses an event driven, non-blocking model suited to create real-time applications that run across distributed devices.

Adding nodes

Node-red comes with a set of core nodes and additional nodes can be found in Node-red Library.

Creating Node-red flows

Once the node-red is running, point a local browser at http://localhost:1880 or if connecting from another machine, point at the ip of node-red machine. (http://{node-red-ip-address}:1880).
